Hey Reader,

Even though we are halfway into the month and many people seem to be in their January rhythm, we are still on-call here at the Connell house. I always feel on-call when my kids are home because you just never know when your young adult has something they need help with or are wanting to connect. I have one kid back at school and one is still here. He will leave this weekend to finish his final semester and graduate in May(!).

In the meantime, I feel like I've gone to the store about fifty times and bought that much weight in protein times 1000. I have a pretty good grocery shopping system (which is basically using my grocery store app) but sometimes paths get crossed.

Case in point: yesterday I had three 18-count cartons of eggs in my fridge. I keep meaning to hard boil some for snacks and I am eating a lot of eggs....but that's a bit aggressive, even for me.

Since I'm the only one who eats eggs (sadly they bother everyone else's stomach) I need to figure out ways to use those before they expire.

Last night I remembered the Protein Pancakes I included in our Protein Prep Playbook from Fall of 2024 (see 1️⃣ ). I'll be whipping those up for breakfast tomorrow and making extra for next week.

I'd love to hear from you: what do you make when you have too many eggs? Hit reply and let me know!

1️⃣ Make-Ahead Breakfast When You're Long on Eggs and Bananas

Want to make your own protein pancakes? Try this recipe.

If you're like my friend who abhors bananas, you could probably swap for applesauce 🤷‍♀️.

2️⃣ Move Forward Together with Accountability and Coaching

Applications are on for the first cohort of Moving Forward Together, a 4-week small group coaching and accountability. This is unlike anything I've ever done and honestly pulls the last ten years of Graced Health together. During a one-hour coaching call (no training or working out!) we'll evaluate your current habits, set realistic goals that will ripple out to feeling better, and create a loving community and accountability group.

Learn more here and apply here by January 23.

Can I be honest? I have a selfish reason for doing this too. Click the to watch this quick video:

3️⃣ In Case You Need a Reminder

There's a lot of noise this time of year. While I certainly advocate for moving and feeding your body so you can feel and function well, it's worth the gentle reminder that we do this not to reach a certain number on the scale, but so we can live out the purpose God has for us.

This is a concept I talk about in depth in both of my books, Your Worthy Body for midlife women and Your CORE Strength for young women. Grab the book(s) to learn more!

4️⃣ Find Harmony in Your Gut - Even if you've been doing everything "right"

If you find yourself bloated, foggy, gassy, or a host of other issues, it may be that your gut needs some loving attention. Functional Health Coach Tiffany Giganti joined the show to talk about achieving harmony in your gut, which ripples out to everything else.

5️⃣ Divorce is hard enough. Taking care of yourself doesn't have to be.

I have walked with several friends as they navigated their difficult season of divorce. While I can't fully understand the complexities of divorce, I know that no one needs another health guru heaping guilt and shame on someone when they are just trying their best to make it through the day.

In a full-circle moment, I joined Yvette Walker on the Positively Joy Podcast to talk about realistic, simple ways of fueling ones self in the midst of divorce. Yvette is a client of mine, so it was extra fun to chat in her "podcast home," where she speaks to women who are in difficult marriages or divorce and have lost their joy.
